Project of Alain Lay, the Chief engineer of Lay Dynamics
Alain Lay has over 30 years of experience preparing watercraft for championships in the United States, Europe and around the world. He was Kawasaki's official performance engineer as the Kawasaki team went unbeaten four years in a row. He went on to collaborate with Yamaha on engine performance for two generations of Yamaha watercraft, his improvements were successfully implemented and are still in use today. He has dozens of innovative solutions to his credit. , used in both competition and mass production, which help improve the performance of watercraft.
Alain Lay's natural talent for analyzing and solving problems, sometimes insoluble at first glance, combined with his tenacity and perfectionism, led him to first prepare the engines of mopeds, which he was still forbidden to drive as a 13 years old. Then he became a professional and got involved in motorcycle and watercraft competitions. He won many titles in competitions including those of World Champions, and European Champions with pilots like Brice Lopez, Jean-Bruno Pastorelo, and Valentin Dardillat.
Thanks to his experience, Alain Lay has largely contributed to the development of big wave surfing. He has worked with many surfers involved in the World Surfing League in big waves, such as Sébastien Saint-Jean, Gautier Ganranx, Joan Duru, and Peyo Lizarazu.
